We use it every day and kind of forget to take notice that all of NKA is 100% run on solar power. We have a .98kw system run from 8 solar panels through a 24 volt battery bank and finally 240 volts through our inverter
This is a huge reduction on the manufacturing energy used to produce your kayak.Giving us and you a smaller energy footprint. That has to be good regardless if you believe in global warming or not (we believe )
Reducing our energy intake is something that NKA take very seriously and we have lately as of Jan 2010 installed a generator to help us with our energy requirments.
This is'nt any old generator but it is old,we have installed a 50 year old Lister twin cylinder genset, the reason we used the Lister is that it is slow revving = longer life, best of all we can run this gennie on 90% vegie oil without any changes to any part of the engine
We are so very proud of the fact that we have lessened our impact firstly for our selves but for each sale of a kayak there is a added bonus of a reduction for the customer...you
Here is a BLOGGER from Canada who picked up that NKA is solar powered
